Dutch Skin Suit Cauliflower

A few days after we arrived home from our trip, I was preparing some vegetables for dinner and realized that they looked startlingly … familiar.

I soon realized why: we’d seen the same colors again and again on the podium and on the ice at the WSDCs.  The Dutch skin suits have an orange upper body with green trim (and blue legs), and their warmup suits consist of orange pants, and white jackets with one green shoulder and one blue shoulder.

See?

All that’s missing is the blue.

  1. Grandpa most enjoyed seeing his mother’s in you kitchen next to bowl. He mother had it as long as he could remember. She sometimes used it as cookie jar.
And she was generous with cookies. No restrictions. He wonders how it survived under attacks (children loved to help themselves!)

    • I’m glad he liked it – it’s there right by my teapot and small shopping card.

I am also amazed that it survived if it was used as a frequently-accessed cookie jar … wow. Maybe it’s secretly made of titanium or something. Is there such a thing as tempered porcelain?

  2. I mean the way the cauliflower looked, not the cookie jar. I recall a large, dark cookie jar with flowers on it. But, Grandpa was around a lot longer than me, so who knows?!

Hoping the errors are out of text!
