Fun with Shutter Speeds

Again, just a brief post today: it is a busy one.

This past weekend is the first time I’ve been near waterfalls with my “new” (not quite anymore) camera, with full manual controls, and I had a lot of fun playing with the effects of shutter speed on the rushing water.

Downstream from Wahkeenah Falls, 1/80th of a second:

Same spot (closer) (and much prettier!), 1.6 seconds:

Wahkeenah Falls itself, 1/125th of a second:

Same, 1/3rd second shutter:

I’m afraid I took an annoyingly large number of these flow-y water shots during the weekend.
